Spiritual

spiritual

The basis of Spiritual Wellbeing is finding meaning and purpose to our life and our place in the greater universe. Refering to the purpose we discover for ourselves and the unique way that we have chosen to harmonize with the world around us can help us choose actions that are consistent with our personal beliefs and values. Reconciling our actions with our beliefs can be central to the development of spiritual wellbeing, among many other facets of our life.

Spiritual wellbeing can have a dramatic impact on various realms of the wellbeing wheel, particularly with respect to finding overall peace, harmony, and happiness with our life and surroundings.  Imbalance in spiritual wellbeing can affect our sense of purpose and meaning in the world, which carries emotional, physical, social, and possibly even financial implications. Though spirituality may play a more important role for some than for others, becoming aware of how spirituality weaves into your unique wellbeing wheel can be helpful in developing a integrated, holistic, and balanced self.

Apple of the Day

Is the weather outside too hot or cold to be active in?  Try walking around the mall or your office building.  Join a fitness or community center.  Find one that lets you pay only for the months or classes you want, instead of the whole year.  Try exercising at home.  Work out to fitness videos or DVDs.  Check a different one out from the library each week for variety.
